Gendros Primary School: Deputy Head Teacher

Closing date: 17/10/23 (12 Noon). Salary: Leadership 7-11. Contract Type: Full Time. Contract Term: Permanent. Start Date: January 2024.

Visit to Gendros Primary School: Tuesday 10 October 2023.
Closing date: Midday - Tuesday 17 October 2023.
Shortlisting: Wednesday 18 October 2023.
Lesson observation at the candidates school:  Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 October 2023.
Interviews: Wednesday 25 October 2023 to be held at Swansea.com (Liberty Stadium).

The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-motivated and outstanding teacher with drive and enthusiasm to the post of Deputy Headteacher to commence in January 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. 

You should: 

  •  Be an excellent classroom practitioner from whom others can learn, willing to take a leading role in the   development of teaching, learning and assessment across the school; 
  •  Have demonstrable management, leadership and ICT skills; 
  • Possess qualities to lead and motivate others; 
  • Play a significant role in the strategic direction and life of the school using energy and enthusiasm; 
  • Be flexible and forward thinking in your approach; 
  • Be able to join a team; 
  • Have excellent communication, inter-personal and organisational skills; 
  • Show enthusiasm for working in partnership with children, staff, Governors, parents and the local community.
